Trevor Goddard 1962-2003

They say if you can make at least one “true friend”, who you can trust with your life, then you’re a lucky man. Trevor and I were best friends and brothers in every sense of the word. This page was created because Trevor contributed much to my life, and others as well. This page is not about his career in the industry, but rather a place for my friend to be remembered.

Trevor possessed a personality that was always larger than life... Despite his "image" (both intentional and unintentional, Trevor was a gentle man, and one of the nicest individuals one could ever hope to meet. He was an incredibly gifted boxer, and treated every opponant with respect. Our trail crossed in the mid 1980s (at a time when we were both struggling) and we took an oath to ride the Hollywood "roller-coaster" together. While the crazy entertainment industry spun us around, we kept each other centered and grounded... We supported each other through the good times and the bad. We camped, sang, got drunk, celebrated life, laughed and cried together (and man, did we laugh). In "real life", Trevor was a sensitive and very kind man, who deeply loved his family and did his best to hang on, to a career that eventually surpassed his ability to handle it.

To say he will be missed is a severe understatement. The loss of my best friend took me out of the game for a few years (it isn't fun riding a roller-coaster alone), and it has taken me this long to finally come to terms with his passing. The brass cross I wear was a gift he gave to me long ago... At the time it was just a small gesture, but this small item quickly became an invaluable reminder of how rare such a true friendship is... Life is short, so love each other while we can.

His memory, his accomplishments, his personality and his friendship shall not be forgotten.
